Ray Trine

Silver Creek Real Estate Broker Ray Trine knows a thing or two about the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau. Ray’s passion for real estate is as undeniable as his decades of experience in the industry.

Ray graduated from the University of North Florida in 1971 with a degree in accounting. He went to work for Florida National Bank’s holding company and later became CFO of American Federal Savings and Loan. He worked on financing properties as well as building and development projects, eventually realizing he preferred being out in the field rather than in the
office.

Seeking a higher quality of life, Ray visited the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau, where he found the tranquility of the mountains to be precisely what he was looking for. The Trine family packed up and bought the farm in Glenville and soon grew their family to include seven daughters and a menagerie of animals.

Ray quickly obtained his North Carolina license and went to work for one of the oldest real estate firms in the area, V.C. Smith Real Estate. Two years later, in 1984, Ray bought the firm outright and soon became the No. 1 real estate firm in listings and sales in the Cashiers area – an accolade held for many years. After a brief retirement, Ray found his place at Silver Creek Real Estate Group in 2011.
